1) Courses & Delivery
Are your courses online or in-person?
All Kensington English programmes are delivered online by qualified teachers. (The FLY ME package includes a prize for one top student: 2 weeks of face-to-face General English in London with homestay — this is a prize, not a standard course delivery.)
Which courses do you offer?
- Essential English Online: 2 hours/week. Options: 12 weeks (24 hours total) or 24 weeks (48 hours total).
- Workplace English Online: 2 hours/week for 12 weeks (24 hours total).
- IELTS Preparation (Online): 6 hours/week for 12 weeks (72 hours total).
What is the minimum age?
16+ at the time of course start.
What’s the usual class size?
Small online groups. We aim to keep classes focused and interactive.
Do you provide a certificate?
Yes. You’ll receive a Kensington English certificate of completion when you meet attendance and assessment requirements.
2) Enrolment, Pricing & Payments
How do I enrol?
Choose your course on our website, complete the form, and make payment to confirm your place. If an Educational Travel Organisation (ETO) is helping you, they can guide you through the steps.
Is there a registration fee?
What payment methods do you accept?
Do you offer instalments?
3) Levels, Placement & Progress
What level do I need?
We welcome learners from A2 (Elementary) to C1 (Advanced) depending on the programme. A quick online level check may be required before placement.
How will my level be assessed during the course?
4) Schedule, Attendance & Technology
When do courses run?
We run rolling start dates across the year. Session times are shown at booking (UK time). Your joining link and timetable will be emailed after enrolment.
What are the attendance expectations?
Please join on time, keep your camera/mic on when requested, and participate respectfully. Consistent attendance is needed to earn your certificate.
What do I need for online classes?
A stable internet connection, a computer or tablet, microphone & camera, and a quiet place to study. Headphones are strongly recommended.
Are lessons recorded?
We may record live sessions for quality and learning. You’ll see a notification when recording is active.
5) Cancellations, Deferrals & Refunds
Do I have a cooling-off period?
If you purchase online, UK consumers usually have a 14 day cooling-off right. If you ask us to start your course within that period, you agree that: (a) we may begin providing the Service; (b) you may be charged pro-rata for any sessions delivered; and (c) once the Service is fully delivered you lose the right to cancel.
Can I defer or transfer my booking?
You can request a deferral or transfer before your start date. Approval is at our discretion and may include an admin fee.
What happens if a class is cancelled by Kensington English?
We will reschedule or provide an equivalent alternative.
6) FLY ME — Prize Details

7) Accessibility, Data & Support
I have accessibility needs—can you help?

How do you use my personal data?
We follow UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, why, and your rights.
